Farm Brewing Process

Farm Brewing Process

Did you know that Great Barn Brewery is the only farm microbrewery in Bucks County, Pennsylvania that grows and brews with our own barley? To keep our carbon footprint low, all our barley is malted locally by Double Eagle Malt located just 25 miles away in Hungtingdon Valley, PA. Most of our spent grain goes to feed local farm animals, while some gets composted and returned to the fields. Our water source is a private spring fed well on our farm that is far away from industrial pollution. On top of that, our brewhouse and farm run entirely on clean wind powered energy.

"When you drink the water, honor the source."

This ancient proverb is sometimes loosely translated as "When you drink the water remember with thanks the man who dug the well." This loose translation expresses our sentiment about our beers. So, bottoms up, neighbor!
